Halloran's Office to Remain Open During Sandy's Visit to City

Office will be open 24 hours for local residents in need of assistance.

Councilman Dan Halloran, R-Whitestone, said his office would remain open 24 hours to assist local residents with emergencies as Hurricane Sandy descends upon the city.

The city has already shut down its subway and bus service until the storm passes.

Schools are closed for the day and alternate side parking has been suspended.

Halloran said residents in his district should remain indoors as well as call their neighbors to ensure that they are safe.

He also suggested putting together a “Go Bag” that includes water, a flashlight, batteries and a first-aid kit.

Halloran’s office is located at 166-08 24th Road in Whitestone. The office’s phone number is 718-631-6703.
