Bay Terrace Forum to Host Candidates for Mayor, Halloran's Seat

The Bay Terrace Community Alliance's forum will also include candidates for

Northeast Queens residents will have their final opportunity to hear from candidates in the Sept. 10 primary election during the Bay Terrace Community Alliance's candidates forum on Aug. 27.

The forum will begin at 7 p.m. at the Bay Terrace Jewish Center, located at 13-00 209th St.

All candidates for Halloran’s seat as well as those making a bid in the races for mayor, comptroller and public advocate have been invited.

Warren Schreiber, the group's president, said all six candidates for Halloran's seat are confirmed and that mayoral candidates Christine Quinn, John Liu, Anthony Weiner, Sal Albanese, George McDonald, John Catsimatidis and Joe Lhota have all said they would show up.

"It's in a presentation format," Schreiber said. "They will be allowed to make a short opening statement and then take questions from the moderators, some questions from the audience and give a short closing statement."
