Iannece Endorses Vallone for Halloran's Seat

Community Board 11 Chairman Jerry Iannece has endorsed Paul Vallone in the race for Councilman Dan Halloran's seat.

Iannece, who previously ran against Vallone for the seat in 2009, announced Monday that he would support Vallone, a Flushing attorney and brother if Councilman Peter Vallone Jr., in his bid.

"Whether as president of the Clinton Democratic Club or through his community service work as a founding member of the Bayside-Whitestone Lions Club, Paul's dedication to northeast Queens is clear," Iannece said.

Vallone will face off in the September Democratic primary against former state Assemblyman John Duane, long-time activist Paul Graziano, former Halloran chief of staff Chrissy Voskerichian and Austin Shafran, formerly of Empire State Development.
