CB 11 Will Discuss Eliminating Section of Douglaston Street at March 5 Meeting

Community Board 11 will discuss Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s preliminary Fiscal Year 2013 budget and the elimination of a section of a Douglaston street at its March 5 meeting.

The board will also hold an annual election for its chairman and other top positions.

The Douglaston Zoning Committee will hold a public hearing for a city map amendment that would eliminate Thebes Avenue between 248th Street and Overbrook Avenue.

CB 11 will offer its response to the mayor’s preliminary 2013 budget. Budget documents are currently available on the board’s website.

Suzanne Windland, volunteer coordinator for Services Now for Adult Persons (SNAP), will talk about volunteering and a visiting program at the northeast Queens center.

To take part in the public participation portion of the meeting, speakers must register with District Manager Susan Seinfeld by March 2.

CB 11 covers Douglaston, Little Neck and Bayside.

The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Bayside’s M.S. 158, which is located at 46-35 Oceania St.
