CB 11 to Host Public Hearings for Three Variances at Sept. 10 Meeting

Board will review applications for the operation of an auto repair shop, a physical culture establishment and a CVS.

will hold public hearings for three variance applications for properties in Bayside and Douglaston during its Sept. 10 meeting.

The first hearing will be for a special permit to allow the operation of Massage Envy, a physical culture establishment, at 38-03 Bell Blvd. in Bayside.

The board will also hear an application to renew a variance for the operation of Prela Auto Repair, located at 42-42 Francis Lewis Blvd., in an R-3 residential zone.

The third hearing will be for the renewal of a variance to operate a , located at 242-254 Northern Blvd. in Douglaston, in an R1-2 zone.

The board will also discuss capital and expense budget priorities for Fiscal Year 2014. CB 11 recently for community improvement projects, such as roadway upgrades or land acquisitions.

The board's next meeting will be on Oct. 1.

Those interested in registering to speak during the public hearings should call 718-225-1954. Speakers must register with the district manager prior to Sept. 7.

The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Bayside's , which is located at 46-35 Oceania St.
