CB 11 to Discuss Variance for Chevrolet Dealer, Tree Pruning at November Meeting

Board will also talk about capital and expense budget items for Fiscal Year 2015.

Community Board 11 will hold a hearing on a variance for a local Chevrolet dealer and hear a report on a tree pruning effort in the community at its Nov. 4 meeting.

The board’s only hearing of the evening will be an application to amend a previously granted variance for the enlargement of an existing showroom at East Hills Chevrolet, located along Northern Boulevard in Bayside.

Plans for the site also call for the addition of a parking deck and canopy in the rear.

CB 11 will hear a report from its environmental committee on the phasing out of PVC in schools, a ban on Styrofoam products and Con Edison’s tree pruning efforts in northeast Queens.

The board will also discuss capital and expense budget submissions for Fiscal Year 2015.

The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at M.S. 158, located at 46-35 Oceania St.
