CB 11 to Discuss Scobee Diner Property, Alley Creek Long-Term Plan on June 10

Board will hold public hearings and hear a presentation from the DEP at monthly meeting.

Community Board 11 will hold a hearing on the Scobee Diner property as well as hear a presentation on plans for Alley Creek during its June 10 meeting.  

The board will meet at 7:30 p.m. at M.S. 158, which is located at 46-35 Oceania St. in Bayside.  

CB 11 will hold two public hearings during the meeting. The first will be an application to extend the term of a previously granted variance for a commercial building in an R1-2 zoning district along Northern Boulevard.  

The second hearing will be an application for a variance to allow accessory parking in the residential portion of a zoning lot for a new commercial and community facility building at the former Scobee Diner site in Little Neck.  

And the board will discuss a flood resiliency zoning text amendment to approve new allowances for buildings in FEMA flood zones. The application is from the Department of City Planning.  

The Department of Environmental Protection will drop by the meeting to discuss the long-term control plan for Alley Creek.  

Those interested in taking part in the public participation portion of the meeting should register with CB 11 District Manager Susan Seinfeld by June 7.
