CB 11 to Discuss Local Beacon Program, Douglaston Construction During May Meeting

Board will hold a public hearing on proposed construction along Depew and 40th Avenues.

Community Board 11 will discuss small construction proposals along Depew Avenue and 40th Avenue in Douglaston during its monthly meeting on May 7.

The Douglaston Zoning Committee will hold a public hearing for an application for construction in the bed of a mapped street along 40th Avenue and construction within a front yard on Depew Avenue.

The evening’s other public hearing will be for an application for a special permit to operate a physical culture establishment on Bell Boulevard.

Jacqueline Montgomery, program manager for Queensborough Community College’s continuing education department, will give a presentation on a teen camp program.

CB 11’s joint Education and Youth committees will talk about the operated by the at Bayside’s M.S. 158.

And the board’s Environmental Committee will discuss a revised waterfront revitalization plan for northeast Queens.

The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of M.S. 158, which is located at 46-35 Oceania St.
