CB 11 to Continue Airplane Noise Discussion at April 8 Meeting

Board members will report to CB 11 on recent meeting between state legislators and the FAA.

Community Board 11 will hear an update at its April 8 meeting on a recent discussion between local legislators and the Federal Aviation Administration on airplane noise.

Andy Rothman and Joan Garippa, who sit on CB 11’s aviation committee, will talk about a March 14 meeting between the FAA, state Sen. Tony Avella, D-Bayside, state Assemblyman Edward Braunstein, D-Bayside, and northeast Queens residents.

At that meeting, residents complained about the constant noise over their communities as a result of a new flight pattern out of LaGuardia Airport.
