is calling for northeast Queens residents to submit proposals for improvements to Bayside, Douglaston and Little Neck for Fiscal Year 2014.
Every year, the board submits capital and expense budget priorities to Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the City Council for consideration in the city’s budget.
Capital budget projects include land acquisitions, major construction projects and equipment that costs more than $35,000. They can also be projects that last more than five years, such as park renovations or major sewer and roadway upgrades.
Expense budget items include everything from senior services and youth group necessities to on-going operations, additional parks and police personnel, the purchase of short-lived equipment, materials and supplies.
Those interested in filling out a form to request capital and expense budget items, contact CB 11 at 718-225-1054.
Once you have filled out the form, return it to the board’s office at 46-21 Little Neck Parkway in Little Neck.
The board will allow attendees at its Sept. 10 meeting at Bayside’s , located at 46-35 Oceania St., to speak in support of their requests.
