Braunstein Sworn In To Assembly
Democrat Replaces Ann-Margaret Carrozza as Northeast Queens' Representative in Albany
State Assemblyman Edward Braunstein, D-Bayside, was sworn in this week by Court of Appeals Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman.
Braunstein, 29, a Democrat, is replacing former Assemblywoman Ann-Margaret Carrozza, who announced last year that she would not run for re-election. He defeated Republican Vince Tabone in the Nov. 2 election.
His district includes Bayside, Douglaston, Little Neck, College Point, Auburndale, Bay Terrace, Whitestone, New Hyde Park and parts of Flushing.
