Braunstein Hosting Halloween Art and Essay Contest

Children interested in participating should submit their work by Nov. 1.

State Assemblyman Edward Braunstein, D-Bayside, is hosting a Halloween essay and drawing contest for northeast Queens grade school students.

Pupils in grade two through five can come up with an essay or drawing that has a Halloween theme. Examples include an account of a favorite trick or treat or experience or why a student picked a particular costume this year.

Prizes will be awarded to the winner in each grade in the district.

Certificates of merit will be handed out to all participants.

Those interested in entering the contest should print their name, grade, class and school on their entry and submit it to Braunstein’s office, which is located at 213-33 39th Ave., Suite 238, Bayside, NY 11361.

Essays can also be turned in via email at braunstein@assembly.state.ny.us no later than Nov. 1.
