Vallone Picks Up Biz Coalition Endorsement

Flushing attorney gets the nod in his bid for Halloran's seat.

Flushing attorney Paul Vallone received the nod from the Small Business Coalition in his bid for Councilman Dan Halloran's seat.

The group, which attempts to bring economic opportunity to the five boroughs, threw its weight behind Vallone on Monday.

"As a small business owner, he knows how to help small businesses succeed and grow," said Small Business Coalition founder Louis Jerome. "And Paul is a dedicated husband and father of three who will fight to make sure our streets our safe, ensure our quality of life isn't diminished and keep our schools great so or kids can continue to get the best education possible."

Vallone will face off in September's Democratic primary against community activist Paul Graziano, former state Assemblyman John Duane, former Halloran chief of staff Chrissy Voskerichian and Austin Shafran, formerly of Empire State Development.
