Thief Strikes Three Times at Little Neck Building, Owner Says

Building's owner says he has video footage of a man who is believed to have stolen wallets and computers from a Little Neck building.

A Little Neck resident said a property he owns has been plagued by a thief who has broken into the building and stolen items at least three times during the past month.

Tim O’Sullivan said the first incident took place on Aug. 17 when a man entered an art school in the building, located at 252-20 Northern Blvd. in Little Neck, and told the receptionist that he was interested in enrolling his child.

“He asked to take a tour of the school and, when the girl at the front desk walked away, he stole from her purse,” O’Sullivan said. “He came back at night a week later and stole a computer. He came back the next night and stole another computer. The next time he came back, we had put an alarm in.”

Upon approaching local business owners, O’Sullivan found out that his building was not the only one to have been targeted by the thief.

“I went around the neighborhood to tell people to watch out for this guy,” he said. “I went into a few different restaurants and showed them his picture. They told me he’d stolen from their cash register. They said if they’re not by the register, he’ll walk in and steal their cash.”

O’Sullivan said the man appeared to be in his mid-30s.

In the images caught by O’Sullivan’s surveillance system, the suspect is wearing a blue Yankees T-shirt.

The 111th Precinct could not immediately be reached for comment.
