The precinct has had at least one mom-on-the-go recently report a missing purse from her car, after just dashing in to drop off her kids.

Leyson warns that there are thieves watching, waiting for opportunities to rip off overly trusting motorists.

The better move—if you aren’t going to take the bag in with you—is to lock it in the car’s trunk before you arrive at where you’ll be leaving the car.
