Little Neck Woman Killed in Accident on Long Island

82-year-old woman was fatally injured by her own car on Tuesday evening.

A Little Neck woman was killed by her own vehicle when it rolled onto her on Tuesday evening in Great Neck, Nassau County police said.

Pepe Chouake had just parked in a spot in front of 90 Horace Harding Boulevard in Great Neck and was stepping out of the car when it began rolling backwards, police said.

Chouake, 82, was knocked to the ground and run over by the car, which came to a stop on top of her.

She was pronounced dead at the scene just after 7 p.m., police said. Chouake was from Little Neck.
