UPDATE: Little Neck Teen Charged With Murder Of Douglaston Man

Caleb Ahn, 16, charged in fatal shooting in Flushing on Wednesday night

Update, March 20, 12:35 p.m.: Police say that a 28-year-old Douglaston man who was fatally shot in Flushing last week was recently on probation and had prior arrests for DWI and robbery.

Police charged a Little Neck teen with murder on Friday in connection with a shooting earlier this week in Flushing that left a Douglaston man dead. 

Caleb Ahn, 16, of 256th St., was charged along with Karma Sonam, also 16, of Astoria, in the fatal shooting of Douglaston resident Bernard Cho.

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 10:50 p.m. Wednesday near Northern Boulevard and 154th Street in Flushing.

Cho, 28, was taken by ambulance to Flushing Hospital where he was pronounced dead after being shot in the torso, police said.

Another man, who has not yet been identified by officials, was recovering from gunshot wounds at Booth Memorial Hospital, police said. He was listed in stable condition.

Police charged both suspects with second-degree murder, attempted murder in the second degree, two counts of assault, criminal possession of a weapon and robbery.

A police spokesman said the shooting appeared to be drug-related, with no gang activity suspected. 

No other suspects are being sought, police said.
