Glen Oaks Deli Robbed At Gunpoint Thursday Night

Suspect made off with $300 cash, cigarettes and lotto tickets, according to police

An unidentified man held up a convenience store on Union Turnpike in Glen Oaks at gunpoint last night, making off with $300 in cash, police said.

According to police, the robber entered Bellerose Farm Deli, located at 253-01 Union Turnpike near Little Neck Parkway, at 11:06 p.m. The man displayed a shotgun and demanded money from the register, police said.

The suspect also made off with an unknown quantity of cigarettes and lotto tickets.

There were no injuries. The case is currently under investigation by police, according to Hazel Cantre of Glen Oaks Security. 

Police described the suspect as a black male, 5-foot 10-inches tall, wearing a green top and black baseball cap.
