Crook Robs Ridgewood Savings Bank

A bank robber on Wednesday struck the inside the Baybridge Commons Shopping Center.

The Center, which is located by the Little Neck Bay on the Cross Island Parkway, offered a quick getaway for the single robber, who made off with an amount of cash that has yet to be reported.

Customers of the center’s other stores speculated that thief’s easiest escape route would have been the Clearview Expwy., over the Throgs Neck Bridge to the Bronx.

“I’m going to rob the bank next,” joked Rob LaSalle, explaining the ease of the crook’s getaway while pointing to the bridge.

The NYPD could not confirm if the robber did cross the pay bridge into the Bronx.
