The Nassau Medical Examiner's Office has determined thedeceased baby found at Sanitary District 1 in Lawrence had been stillborn, police said Tuesday. Police discovered the remains of the dead female baby at the facility at 2 Bay Blvd. last Wednesday after receiving a "report of a baby with difficulty breathing," according to police. Read the full story here.

Leader of Cocaine Distribution Enterprise Sentenced to Life in Prison

A Brooklyn man was sentenced Friday to mandatory life imprisonment for leading a criminal enterprise that distributed thousands of pounds of cocaine and included a number of stash houses in Queens, the U.S. attorney for New York’s eastern district said. James Rosemond, 48, of Brooklyn, was sentenced for operating the Rosemond Organization, which distributed thousands of pounds of cocaine and sold the drug on the streets of Queens and Brooklyn, U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch said. Missing Rego Park Teen's Family Calls on NYPD Not to Give Up

The mother of an autistic Rego Park teenager who has been missing since early October said she believes her son is alive and called on the city’s Police Department to redouble its efforts to find him, NY 1 reported. Avonte Oquendo, 14, was last spotted on Oct. 4 after leaving the Riverview School in Long Island City. The autistic youth cannot communicate verbally. Read the full story here.

Long Beach Man Charged with Multiple Felonies for Weapons Possession

A Long Beach man was charged with multiple felony counts for an arsenal of illegal weapons and ammunition feeding devices last week. Daniel Gobic, 31, of East Market Street was arrested and charged with 51 felony weapons-related counts and criminal obstruction of breathing Oct. 25, the Long Beach Police Department announced in a statement Monday. Read the full story here.

Food Delivery Man Robbed in Baldwin

A Chinese food delivery man was robbed in Baldwin on Monday by three men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, police said. At 10:23 p.m., the victim was delivering food at a Center Drive residence when three male subjects demanded his money, according to police. The victim complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. The subjects then fled on foot eastbound on Center Drive with the food and money. Read the full story here.

Mineola Man Arrested for Touching Men at Sober Home

According to detectives, Joseph Wood, 73, "came into contact" with two men, ages 31 and 21, at a sober house in Uniondale where he is a counselor. Allegedly, Wood was alone with one of the victims on each of the incidents, which occurred on Sept. 27 and Oct. 6, first beginning to hug the victim and then proceeded to forcibly touch them in a sexual manner. Read the full story here.

Cops: Man Tried to Sell Stolen Cablevision Equipment

A Queens man faces larceny charges after he tried to sell stolen Cablevision equipment in Lake Success, Nassau County Police said. According to detectives, Bryan Urbano, 21, of Jamaica, was seen selling Cisco wifi transmitters that had fallen off the back of a Cablevision truck on the Long Island Expressway. Read the full story here.
