Wow, i just love reading something like this. But it leaves me wondering why and if there are things this precinct is doing that others can implement...any thoughts?

The fact that incidents during last month have decreased compared to last July is good to know. But statistics, when presented iusing such a small sample size can be misleading. For instance, based on the NYPD information above, felony assaults rose slightly in July compared to last year. Two incidents were reported during July 2011, while three occurred during the same period of time this year. This could also have been reported that "there was a 50% increase in felony assaults in the 111th Precinct during the past month compared to the same time period last year." It all depends on how statistics are presented using small sample sizes.
