Bayside Man Arrested In Alleged Great Neck Robbery

Joshua Mora, 21, is charged with stealing $195 in gym equipment from New York Sports Club on Barstow Road

A fired New York Sports Club employee was arrested for allegedly taking $195 in equipment from an office and taking an unknown amount of currency from a register after hours last Friday, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Joshua Mora, 21, of 207th St. in Bayside, was observed via a video surveillance system entering the gym at 15 Barstow Road using keys he failed to turn in after being terminated, police said. 

An employee answering the phone at the sports club Friday afternoon declined to comment on the arrest.

Mora is charged with burglary, petit larceny and possession of burglary tools. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead today.
