Bayside Civic to Honor 111th Precinct's Community Affairs Officer

Gary Poggiali, who will retire next month, will receive a plaque at Bayside Hills Civic Association meeting.

The Bayside Hills Civic Association will honor outgoing 111th Precinct community affairs officer Gary Poggiali at a meeting later this month.

Poggiali, who has been with the northeast Queens precinct for more than a decade, will retire next month.

“He’s been with us for 10 years and has always been available for redirecting traffic during our big events, such as the holiday lighting ceremony, Sept. 11 and Memorial Day,” said Michael Feiner, president of the civic. “He’s an all-around great guy and a pleasure to work with.”
