111th Precinct to Host Night Out On Crime

Annual event at the Douglaston Shopping Plaza will include a bouncy castle, balloon animals and food.

The 111th Precinct will provide food and numerous activities for the entire family at the Douglaston Shopping Plaza on Tuesday as part of the 28th annual National Night Out on Crime.

The event, which will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., will include tables with local sponsors as well as a hotdog cart, hamburgers and Italian sausages.

“This is an event for the precinct and the community to come together to say ‘no’ to crime,” said Gary Poggiali, a spokesman for the 111th Precinct. “That’s the major theme. We’re working toward a common goal – making bridges between the police and the community.”
