It was a busy week for news in northeast Queens and Bayside Douglaston Patch debuted its new look.  

The Bayside Village Business Improvement District’s executive director discussed the group’s upcoming arts and crafts festival and New York Cares announced its park clean-up day at several local sites.  

And Alley Pond Environmental Center rescheduled its Green Gala, which was delayed last fall.

Monday
The MTA said it could take up to five years to complete repairs from Hurricane Sandy. Reviews in This Week at the Movies included “42” and “To the Wonder.”

Tuesday
New York Cares announced an upcoming event to spruce up local parks, such as Alley Pond and Little Bay. And Alley Pond Environmental Center announced the new date for its Green Gala, which was postponed last fall due to Hurricane Sandy and the city bus strike.  

Wednesday
Patch debuted its new look and the state Assembly passed equal pay legislation co-sponsored by Assemblywoman Nily Rozic, D-Fresh Meadows.  

Thursday
The Bayside Village BID’s executive director talked to Patch about its upcoming arts and crafts festival.  

Friday
