Samuel Field Y to Host Aug. 12 Blood Drive
Find out how to donate to drive, which is being held with the Deepdale Gardens Community Council.
The and Deepdale Gardens Community Council are looking for northeast Queens residents to donate during an Aug. 12 blood drive.
Donors must be at least 17 years or older and must weigh more than 110 pounds.
Participants must also bring photo identification and eat within three hours prior to donating.

Any 16-year-olds interested in donating must have parental consent and bring proof of age.
The blood drive is being held at the Y, which is located at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway, in cooperation with the community council and New York Hospital Queens.

It will run from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. To make an appointment, call 718-428-5050.
Douglaston's is also hosting a blood drive this month. The center's seventh annual drive will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 22.
