Learn About Native American Oasis Oakland Lake

The Alley Pond Environmental Center is hosting a forum on Northern Queen's urban lake.

An community forum on Oakland Lake will be held by the Alley Pond Environmental Center in observance of Earth Week.

The forum will discuss the lake's history as an oasis for Native Americans, as well as a water source for historic Flushing Village.

APEC's Educational Director Aline Euler, who will be hosting the discussion, will also speak to the body of water's role in the area as an urban lake.
