FIVE THINGS: Redistricting or P.S. 46

1. The Alley Pond School, P.S. 46 received an "A" on their Dept. of Education report card, reports the Queens Courier. The paper also noted that District 26, which encompasses Bayside and much of Northeastern Queens, was the best district in the borough to educate your kid in.

2. Would you on your own block? It seems that in Brooklyn, they're dying to. What about here?

4. You can eat an in Floral Park this weekend. Man, that sounds great.

5. A coalition of Asian groups wants to take 75 percent of Sen. Tony Avella’s district away from him through redistricting, reports the Times Ledger. Their lines would leave Bayside, Bay Terrace, Oakland Gardens, Auburndale and  Flushing to Avella. Glen Oaks, Bellerose and Floral Park would be represented by a Long Island Senator. The group is hoping that demographics within the new lines will allow them to vote in Asian representatives to the state legislature.
