Douglaston Little Neck Library Unveils Roster of May Programs

Special events include a discussion on honeybees and a theater workshop for youths.

The Douglaston Little Neck Library’s May programs will include a young adult theater workshop, yoga and a lecture on honeybees.

On May 10, there will be two Mother’s Day events – a craft class for ages 2 to 5 years at 11:30 a.m. and a similar program for students in kindergarten through eighth grade at 4:15 p.m.

The library will host a discussion on honeybees with Douglaston beekeeper Ruth Harrigan at 3 p.m. on May 14.

Anna’s Book Discussion this month will focus on Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451.” It will take place at 11:30 a.m. on May 16.

There will be a theater workshop for young adults at 4 p.m. on May 22. The library will host a chair yoga class at 3 p.m. on May 21 and 28. Preregistration is required.

English conversation classes will be held at 1 p.m. on May 6, 13 and 20.

Picture Book Time will take place at 11:30 a.m. on May 9, 16, 23 and 30. This class is intended for children between the ages of 3-and-a-half to 5 years. It includes songs, stories and crafts.

And the library will hold its AARP Driver Safety Class at 11 a.m. on May 10. Preregistration is required.

The library is located at 249-01 Northern Blvd. in Little Neck.
