Douglaston Churches Offer Extra Prayer Services, Programs for Holidays

Douglaston’s houses of worship will offer additional prayer services and events during December’s holiday season.

The Community Church of Douglaston will host a 6:30 a.m. prayer service every weekday throughout the season of Advent.

In addition, the church will hold its daily 9:30 a.m. service with Holy Communion, which is followed by breakfast, during the week.

Zion Episcopal Church, located at 243-01 Northern Blvd., will offer its regular Sunday services at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon.

On Dec. 17, the house of worship will present its annual Christmas pageant at 10 a.m. For more information, visit the church’s website.

St. Anastasia Church, located at 45-14 245th St., will hold daily masses at 8:30 a.m.

The church has also kicked off its holiday , which collects wrapped packages for underprivileged families.
