Community Church to Unveil Hidden Treasures

Douglaston house of worship will sell antiques, books, furniture and other items during a sale this upcoming weekend.

Local residents will be able to search for everything from antiques to classic novels and vintage clothing this weekend during the ’s hidden treasure sale.

The church, located at 39-50 Douglaston Parkway, will hold the sale on Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Attendees will be able to purchase artwork, antiques, ceramics, china, vintage clothing, old books, jewelry, furniture and silver.

All of the items have been donated by the church or residents from the community.

Madeline Pearson, the church’s secretary, said the house of worship has long held annual auctions, but that the hidden treasure sale was the first of its kind.

Those interested in donating items can drop them off at the church any day this week between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday will be the last day to donate.

The sale will be held in the Fellowship Hall, which can be accessed through the back door in the church’s parking lot.
