Community Church to Host 'Da Vinci Code' Discussions

The will host discussions on Dan Brown’s controversial juggernaut “The Da Vinci Code” for the next two Sundays.

Rev. Linden DeBie will lead the discussion on the novel with a power-point presentation following 10:30 a.m. worship service on March 25 and April 1.

For those who haven’t read Brown’s 2003 novel or seen Ron Howard’s 2006 film, the story revolves around a symbologist investigating a murder in Paris’s Louvre Museum. The case leads him to discover that two factions of the church are at war over the possibility that Jesus Christ married Mary Magdalene.

The discussion, which will be part of the church’s Lenten program, will be held in the parlor.
