Arts Fair Draws Thousands to Douglaston

Queens residents crowded 235th Street to view art works, sample food and watch live music.

Queens residents turned out in droves to celebrate the Douglaston Village Arts Festival along 235th Street, where visitors were able to view works from local artisans and crafters, sample food from the neighborhood's restaurants and watch live music.

The festival, now in its third year, has been one of several annual initiatives by the community's Chamber of Commerce meant to revitalize Douglaston Village.

Check out Patch's photo slideshow and stop back by the site tomorrow morning for our story on the festival.
