APEC to End February with Facials, Zumba and Acid Rain Class

Douglaston environmental center is hosting three classes for children next weekend.

Alley Pond Environmental Center will offer three classes that will help children get fit, stay relaxed and learn about the environment next weekend.

On Feb. 25, the center will host Soothing Natural Facials from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The class, which is $18 for members and $23 for non-members, will allow kids to combine natural products – such as honey, cucumbers, crushed almonds and egg whites – to create a facial product that will cleanse and soften their skin.

The program is aimed at children, ages 7 to 12 years, and is limited to eight participants.
