is giving away 150 free trees, but northeast Queens residents must reserve them online.
The Douglaston center will hand out the trees from 10 a.m. to noon on April 1.
To reserve a tree, click here.
Trees are first-come, first-serve, so the center suggests that those interested should show up early.
The trees cannot be planted on rooftops, terraces, along city streets or in parks.
Alley Pond is hosting the initiative in conjunction with the New York Restoration Project and MillionTreesNYC.
The center is located at 228-06 Northern Blvd. in Douglaston.
