Alley Pond Debuts New Boardwalk at Brunch

Environmental Center hosts brunch fundraiser, tour of new trail.

Alley Pond Environmental Center hosted a tour Sunday of its new boardwalk trail during a brunch fundraiser. 

The event acted as a grand opening for the , which was completed in August. It was attended by a number of Queens elected officials, including state Sen. Tony Avella, D-Bayside, state Assembly members David Weprin, D-Little Neck, and Edward Braunstein, D-Bayside, and Councilman Dan Halloran, R-Whitestone.
