Tuesday is Valentine’s Day. Be sure to read Patch’s coverage of the holiday, including our , our list of the , a for Feb. 14 and the rundown on .

The National Art League is showing its through the end of this month. The gallery will host a reception for the artists involved in the show on Feb. 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Events

On Tuesday, Brandywine Assisted Living at the Savory will host a Valentine’s Day networking event, while the Samuel Field Y will provide an indoor playground for local youngsters on that day as well.

There are a number of events taking place in the community on Wednesday. The library on Bell Boulevard is offering a , while Bayside’s VibeZ Studio is holding a class and the Bayside Public Library is operating its program.

The Samuel Field Y is hosting an assertiveness training and relationship building class on Thursday.

On Friday, the Windsor Terrace Library will present . That evening will be at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament.

Five bands will play at a at Douglaston’s The Attic Bar and Lounge on Saturday night. That day, the Fajr Memorial Foundation is offering swimming lessons for women.

Alley Pond Environmental Center has a full roster of programs this week, including Fledglings, Animal Detectives and Sunny Bunnies. For more information, visit the center’s website.
