Do it. Do it now. Stand Up for Queens Library.

You are needed right now to save Queens Library from crippling budget cuts.

The mayor and City Council are finalizing the Fiscal Year 2012 city budget. Libraries are facing crippling proposed reductions that would cut hours and lay off hundreds of library staff who serve the community.

These are the people who help your children with homework, give computer classes, hold knitting groups, help you find the tax forms you need or prepare for the professional licensing exam and so many other important services.

The cuts will affect every community in Queens, from  the East River to the Rockaways.
