Wonder what transpires behind closed doors in Douglaston? Tons of extramarital affairs, according to a story in the New York Post.
The tabloid reported the findings of a study by AshleyMadison.com, an online site that bills itself as "the world's leading married dating service for discreet encounters."
And when it comes to infidelity, Great Neck was number one, outranking anywhere else in the metropolitan region. Forest Hills came in at number four, and Douglaston at lucky number seven.
Prosperity may have something to do with the survey's results.
As AshleyMadison.com CEO Noel Biderman told the Post, "with successful people there may be more cheating going on because the more opportunity you’re given — and that’s the reason you see athletes, celebrities and politicians involved in affairs — the more other people thrust themselves at you.”
