Gardening and home improvements can be noisy. Community Board 11 would like to remind residents that permitted hours for power gardening are between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. or sunset (whichever is later) on weekdays. Tools such as lawn mowers and leaf blowers may be used between those times only on weekdays, and between 9 a.m. and 6p.m. on weekends.
Improvements and repairs to one and two family dwellings occupied by the owner may be done on weekends, between 10 a.m. an 4p.m., unless those houses are within 300 feet of a house of worship. Construction is allowed on weekdays only, between 7a.m. and 6p.m.
