Reminder: Weekend Holiday Festivals
The Samuel Field Y and American Martyrs Church are holding holiday events this weekend.
There are two holiday fairs in northeast Queens this weekend, so don’t forget to drop by.
American Martyrs Church, located at 79-43 Bell Blvd., is hosting its fifth annual holiday fair on Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m.
The fair, which will be held in the church’s basement, will include a variety of vendors selling everything from toys and jewelry to accessories and holiday-themed items.

And the Samuel Field Y, located at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway, is hosting its Freedom Festival on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will combine a Chanukah celebration with a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, during which Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.

The festival will include gym games, arts and crafts, sing-a-longs and special performances by the Y’s Early Childhood students.
There will also be open houses for the Y’s summer camp and Early Childhood programs.
Gym participants should wear sneakers.
Donuts, drinks and latkes will be available for purchase.
