Queens Farm Museum to Host Wreath Making Workshop, Open House

Also, the historic site will begin selling Christmas trees and poinsettias on Dec. 1.

The Queens County Farm Museum will hold an upcoming wreath making workshop and holiday open house as well as begin selling Christmas trees and poinsettias in December.

The farm, located at 73-50 Little Neck Parkway, will hold its Christmas tree and poinsettia sale from Dec. 1 to 24.

The sale will include popular varieties and sizes or trees, evergreen wreaths, poinsettia, Amaryllis and paper whites. All proceeds will benefit the farm museum.

The farm’s wreath making workshops will be held at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 8.

Attendees will be able to make an evergreen wreath and all materials will be provided. Participants should bring a garden shear. To register for the workshop, call 718-347-3276, ext. 301. An advance payment of $20 per person is required.

And the farm’s holiday open house will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Dec. 26, 27 and 28.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will include tours of the decorate farmhouse, craft activities for children and mulled cider.
