Braunstein Hosts Halloween Essay and Drawing Contest

Students must submit entries no later than Oct. 31.

State Assemblyman Edward Braunstein, D-Bayside, is kicking off his annual Halloween essay and drawing contest.

Students from grades two through five can submit an essay or drawing with a Halloween theme, such as an account of a favorite trick or treat experience or why they picked a specific costume this year.

The assemblyman will hand out prizes across the district to winners in each grade. New York State certificates of merit will be given to all students who participate.

Those interested in entering the contest should print their name, grade, class and school on their entry and send it to Braunstein’s district office, located at 213-33 39th Ave., Suite 238, Bayside, NY 11361.

Or, they can email it to braunstein@assembly.state.ny.us. Entries should be submitted no later than Oct. 31.
