The season of giving is upon us.

But with so many worthy charities out there, it can sometimes be tough narrowing down the field.

So Patch would like to help by providing readers a list of some great local non-profits and charities that could certainly use your donations.

Little Neck Douglaston Lions

The Lions are a local civic organization that's very active in the northeast Queens community. Whether it’s helping the 111th Precinct with their or collecting coats for the needy, their dedication to helping the community remains unwavering. To make a donation or for volunteer information call 917-312-3043. 

Little Neck Douglaston Community Ambulance  

The is an all volunteer organization that has been serving the community for almost 60 years. But with an , the LND Ambulance needs your help. To request a donation envelope, call the ambulance corps office at (718) 423-2333.

Douglaston-Little Neck Historical Society

With the Douglaston Village revisioning project entering into the next stage of development, there’s never been a better time to donate to the Douglaston Little Neck Historical Society. For almost twenty years, the DLNHS has been working to keep Douglaston one of the nicest places to live in New York City. Click here to find out how you can help.

Samuel Field Y

For over 50 years the Samuel Field Y has been dedicated to making Little Neck a better place to live. From taking care of the old or infirmed, and reaching out to isolated seniors who need assistance with shopping, access to entitlements or just a helping hand. The Giving Tree

Starting Saturday, November 26, will begin collecting presents for under privilege families. Those interested in making a donation are invited to grab a tag from the Giving Tree set up inside the church, labeled as to the gifts being requested. For more information call (718) 225-5191.
