There is NO God?

The majority of people would think that the answer to whether there is or there is no God should be easy; No?

I beg to differ, and here is why, for those of you whose intellect is challenged by simple yet "healthy" thoughts regarding "God" as a concept, in today's "Western Civilization":

Ever since humans "grew" intellectually -thousands of years ago- they cultivated the urge to associate with others of their kind and with that the concept of the proto-family was born.

Family brought human closeness that was later named love and with it the fear of losing it totally due to diseases, natural elements or even other hostile and stronger "families."

Fear, though, was the main element that our ancestors considered the most threatening of all concepts and that is why they turn into believing in a "higher" authority.

In the beginning it was the thunder, so they created the mental "god" of thunder; later on it was the sun, the moon, the sea, etc., etc. and many more gods were thus created.

In the 3-4,000 BC era we now see a more "organized" human need to worship, now, and not just acknowledge and fear "god."

The Mesopotamian and Hellenic gods were probably among the earliest named, depicted and humanized of the organized deities and for whom their followers, collectively, honor them with material events.

Most polytheistic deities were not considered "religions" with today's meaning of the word but were just spiritual and physical "protectors" who were happy or angry with what their "subjects" did or did not do.

If one searches on the web today for ancient gods or goddesses (yes, goddesses) one would find hundreds of them with names from Anu, to Zarathustra to Osiris to Isa, to Zeus and Hera, etc.

Util about 1,000 years ago some (few) humans realized that there is a chance that mass-control and manipulation COULD be achieved easier via deity worship than by any other method.

Bingo! Organized religion was born.

Starting with a process of eliminating many gods for obvious "management" reasons, the concept of monotheism was born and at about the same time the impersonation of a god in the face of an ethnic leader became the norm.

While the above spiritual "reorganization" was going on, a little known tribe -the Hebrews- appears and their focus is exclusively pointed at only one "god" their El or YHWH aka Yahweh.

Fast forward to about 30 AD and we see Christ walking on earth claiming that he is the Son of the Hebrew God.

Well, we all know what happened next...

Finally, in about 600 AD the final chapter of the last religion is to be written when Prophet Mohamed named Allah (derived from Hebrew Eloch) as the only "God" for the Muslims and humanity.

Three of the last religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are mostly of the same foundation and principles and yet they seem that they could not be further apart one from the other; go figure...

In all 5 or so millennia to date, from humans who did not know what "god" is to today's humans who still do not know what "god" is -for there was NEVER ANY EVIDENCE that there is such a being- humans decided to "religiously" follow their... religious "leaders." These leaders brainwashed countless generations into believing that their "god" is the ONLY true god and that they should eradicate anyone else that believes otherwise.

Organized Religions, then, have become the "gods" in the absence of any such being and these religions MUST be defended by their "leaders" at any cost -to their followers- be it mental, material or human.

Should humans develop the urge to believe or not in something, I say good for them, BUT when Organized Religions come around and punish via fear or physical harm those who chose not to believe in them, I say down with that move.

Therefore, it seems to be abundantly clear that: God did not create Man in his own image (why not a woman?); for, Man created God in his own image -and that is why a woman is absent in all three of the related religions.

Humans, lastly, are "intellectual animals" and when logic/reasoning is deprived from them, their intellectual capacity is removed and they no longer differentiate with other... animals. One just has to look at the merciless killings and beheadings in the known parts of the tri-religious world, Middle East.

Is there God?

What do you think?
