Parks Department to Offer Free Fitness Classes in Northeast Queens

Classes will be held at Bayside Senior Center, M.S. 74 and Alley Athletic Playground.

The city’s Department of Parks and Recreation is offering free fitness classes for northeast Queens residents at three locales in the community.

The program – known as Queens Shape-Up – will be offered at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesdays at the Bayside Senior Center, located at 221-15 Horace Harding Expressway.

A fitness boot camp will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays at M.S. 74, located at 61-15 Oceania St. in Bayside.

And the Alley Athletic Playground, which is located on Winchester Boulevard between Union Turnpike and the Grand Central Parkway, will hold a boot camp at 1 p.m., beginning on Feb. 1.

All ages are welcome to attend the fitness programs and no registration is required.
