Flu Shots Available at Bayside's Rite Aids
Pharmacist suggests getting shot now because it takes a few weeks to kick in.
Northeast Queens residents can get their shots for the upcoming flu season at both of Bayside's Rite Aid chain stores.
No appointment is necessary for the shots, which are typically covered by insurance, but cost $29.99 for those not covered.
To receive a shot, you must be at least 18 years of age.
"People should get them now because it takes two to three weeks before the antibody starts kicking in," pharmacist George Dariotis said. "So, it wouldn't be until mid-September before it started working."
Both of Bayside's Rite Aid stores - located at 39-20 Bell Blvd. and 43-20 Bell Blvd. - are currently offering flu shots.
