It was a week of previews for events to come in northeast Queens. Patch posted a story on this weekend’s festival at Little Neck Bay, the annual Queens County Fair and a homeowners forum being hosted by Councilman Dan Halloran, R-Whitestone.

The Douglaston Little Neck Historical Society is hosting a walking and house tour in October to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the community’s historic designation.

And workers from 1199-SEIU filed an unfair labor practice charge against St. Mary’s, accusing the hospital of not sharing its financial records during negotiations.


The MTA is considering fare hikes on MetroCards as well as tunnels and bridges. Alley Pond Environmental Center is holding a fundraiser at Papazzio in Bayside on Oct. 11. And a Little Neck man was rushed to the hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the foot.
