Braunstein Hosting Two Holiday Gift Drives

State assemblyman is gathering gifts for needy children and hospitalized veterans in the community.

State Assemblyman Edward Braunstein, D-Bayside, is sponsoring two gift drives that will run through mid-December.

Braunstein is calling on northeast Queens residents to drop off unwrapped toys for needy and hospitalized children or a gift for a hospitalized veteran.

Suggested items for veterans include sugar-free candy, slippers, robes, pajamas, sweaters, socks and toiletries for men and women.

All items must be new, unwrapped and dropped off no later than Dec. 18.

Items can be left at Braunstein’s office, located at 213-33 39th Ave. in Bayside, or at Community Board 11, located at 46-21 Little Neck Parkway.
