Events

On Monday, Alley Pond Environmental Center will offer its Wee Sprouts and Toddler Time programs, while the Douglaston Little Neck Library will hold its weekly knitting and crocheting class.

Community Board 11 will hold its October meeting on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Bayside’s M.S. 158. Items on the agenda include variances for two gas stations and an animal shelter.

The National Art League will debut its drawing exhibit on Monday. The display will run through Oct. 27. Also on Monday, the Lutheran School of Flushing and Bayside will have registration for its gifted and talented program.

Queensborough Community College's Kids College will offer an after school program at the Community Church of Douglaston on Monday through Friday.

There will be an AA meeting Wednesday evening at the Community Church of Douglaston. Also that evening, the Bayside-Whitestone Lions Club will hold a meeting at 201-10 Cross Island Parkway.

On Saturday, the Bay Terrace Country Club will host its fall family flea market festival.

Pat Cooper and the Wise Guys of Comedy will perform on Sunday at Queensborough Community College.

Announcements

The Douglaston Green Market is now open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays in the traffic circle of the Long Island Rail Road's Douglaston station.
